Dr. Covington’s training provided me with so many tools to support me in working with women who have faced trauma in their lives.  Her knowledge and approach was refreshing.  Her training evoked deep thought regarding the barriers that we come across in the field.

I am reminded that being trauma informed is not a single act or decision; rather, being trauma informed is an ongoing effort to create and maintain a culture in which the experiences of our clients are honored and they feel valued and respected. Being trauma informed is walking alongside the client instead of walking in front of them.
